Domaine Bessa Valley, Enira White 2021

Flag of Bulgaria

Domaine Bessa Valley is located about 150 km southeast of Bulgaria's capital, Sofia, near the village of Ognyanovo. It is owned by the dapper Count Stephan von Neipperg, a German wine magnate who owns many of the best right-bank Chateaux in Bordeaux. And much like that storied region, his Bessa Valley wines exhibit big, bold flavours using mainly classic French grape varieties. Enira White 2021 is made from the classic southern-Rhone blend of 46% Viognier, 31% Marsanne and 23% Roussanne. The grapes were hand-harvested and aged in oak for 6 months prior to release. Vibrant & aromatic, it has a nose of lemon zest, quince, elderflower and acacia. The palate is rich, but balanced by a good level of acidity which carries the fruit-driven finish. A great pair with roast pork.
